MR-proADM Risk Score: Explanation and Clinical Context The MR-proADM Risk Score is a biomarker-based tool used to assess the severity and predict clinical outcomes in patients with acute infections, sepsis, or other critical illnesses. MR-proADM (mid-regional pro-adrenomedullin) is a stable fragment of adrenomedullin, a peptide involved in vascular tone regulation and endothelial integrity. Elevated MR-proADM levels reflect endothelial dysfunction and increased disease severity.

Risk stratification based on MR-proADM concentrations allows clinicians to guide early triage decisions, hospitalization needs, and intensive care allocation. - Low Risk (≤0.87 nmol/L): Outpatient management may be considered. - Intermediate Risk (0.87–1.5 nmol/L): Hospitalization and monitoring advised. - High Risk (>1.5 nmol/L): Intensive care and aggressive management recommended.
