Child Pugh Liver Cirrhosis Score Explanation and Clinical Context The Child Pugh Score is a clinical tool used to assess the severity and prognosis of chronic liver disease particularly cirrhosis. It evaluates five key clinical and laboratory parameters which reflect liver synthetic function portal hypertension and systemic complications of liver dysfunction.
