A total of three or more points classifies a patient for psoriatic arthritis in the setting of inflammatory articular disease. These criteria were developed from a large international study and are widely used for classification in research and clinical practice. They are not a diagnostic algorithm by themselves and must be interpreted in the full clinical context including clinical examination imaging and laboratory testing.
